This has been such a rainy summer so far! Trying to determine what the heck the weather is going to do at a specific location at a specific time has been quite the challenge. Lucy was visiting from Tennessee and so we had a very limited timeframe to work with for these mountain senior photos in Boulder. We started earlier than initially planned so we could try and “beat the rain”. We weren’t so lucky!
I met Lucy and her mom at the trailhead at South Mesa and we made the trek to our starting point. Luckily I brought an umbrella, because the skies opened up on us. We made our way back to the cars to try and wait it out. Thankfully we got little breaks in the rain to make the session happen. It definitely ended up being about double the session time as it should have been because of the weather. But I am so relieved we made it happen and got some absolutely stunning images.
Lucy is such a stunning girl. She could seriously be a model! And she is so very sweet to boot. I had major hair envy. Lucy has the most amazing curls. Coming from someone with stick straight, thin hair, I cannot imagine having such beautiful, curly locks. Lucy wore three outfits for her destination senior portraits. She started in a grayish purple dress with lacy cutouts on the top. This was my personal favorite. The second outfit was a simple off-white dress. She added her bible into some of the photos in this outfit. She looked so angelic! Her final outfit was very simple, but looked amazing on her. It was a spaghetti strap tank/bodysuit and ripped jeans.

So many good ones from Lucy’s mountain senior photos in Boulder. I definitely think this is one of my favorites. Such a gorgeous girl, such a pretty view!

Thanks so much Lucy. I appreciate you being such a trooper with the rainy weather. I hope you have the most incredible senior year, you deserve it. Go do amazing things and enjoy the journey! And next on the blog, heading back to Brainard Lake for MacKenzie’s senior photos. The temps were in the 40s…in August! None of us were quite prepared for that, but it was definitely another epic session in the Colorado mountains.
