Kate + Christian | Evergreen Engagement Pictures | Frosberg Park

I have “kinda sorta” known Kate for many years now. I say that because she had worked with my husband for many years in Biotech. So we had interacting some over the years. Actually Christian had worked with both of them as well, but I didn’t meet him until they were guests at Melissa and Tim’s Lionscrest Manor wedding. I was really thrilled to book their May Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch wedding. And even more thrilled to finally get to spend a few hours together and really get to know them better during these Evergreen engagement pictures. We decided on Frosberg Park and the trail to the Beaver Brook Watershed. It was a bit of a gloomy afternoon, but at least the rain held off until the very end. This is always a beautiful setting, and it’s still a bit of a hidden gem in the Colorado mountains.

Kate and Christian each wore multiple outfits during their engagement photography session. He had jeans, two plaid flannels, and cowboy boots. Kate had a bit more elaborate outfits changes. She started in her dressiest outfit, a long, lacy ivory dress. Next, Kate put on jeans, a light blue tank top, and a long, lace kimono top. Her final outfit was jeans and a simple, long-sleeve mustard color top. They added their cowboy hats for a handful of images in each of their outfits. I always love accessories! They both looked great, and are so sweet together. We got such a wonderful mix of romantic images, candid and playful moments, and more traditional “smiling at the camera” portraits as well. I really hope they love these photos and will cherish them for years to come!

This is definitely one of my favorites from Kate and Christian’s Evergreen engagement pictures. I love that scenic, colorful Colorado view, and this sweet, romantic moment!

Thanks Kate and Christian, your wedding is coming up fast! I can’t wait!! It’s especially exciting to be shooting at a venue that I have never worked at before.
