It was so fun reliving Alyssa and Dustin’s couple’s session from 2018 while creating this blog post. This is giving me some great inspiration for my upcoming Breckenridge engagement photographs at the DillonΒ ice castles, with Ashley and Nate. I haven’t been up there yet this season. So I am pretty excited! If you follow the blog, you will surely recognize Alyssa and Dustin. I have been so fortunate to work with them many times over the years π They have become more than just clients, they have become friends!
This session was the most dressed up (besides their wedding day) that I have seen Alyssa and Dustin too. They looked amazing! Although Alyssa’s feet were pretty purple by the end, after walking around in those peep-toe pumps. She was such a trooper though…and it was totally worth it! Often couples bring two outfits for their portrait sessions. One more casual, and one a little dressier. I think Alyssa and Dustin gave us all some awesome inspiration for the dressy side of the equation. Some additional engagement clothing ideas, can be found on my Pinterest board here.
Rocking that bright red lipstick! I just can’t pull this color off. Alyssa definitely does though. And red always pops so well against the blue/turquoise of the ice castles.
We were losing light, and it was getting COLD! But we just had to get a few quick shots with the moon in there before we called it a day π
Hopefully you are inspired to have your own winter Breckenridge engagement photographs at the ice castles (or any of the other awesome Summit County locations). If so, let’s chat now! Email me at plumprettyphoto@gmail.com

Stay warm out there tonight, and have a great weekend ahead! Another Dustin is coming to the blog next lol! I look forward to sharing Sarah and Dustin’s colorful fall wedding from the Lodge at Breckenridge very soon. That was the first wedding shot by my associate photographer, Kristina, as I was not able to be there. Stay tuned!
Ahhhh these are sooo beautiful! You perfectly captured the love that these two share!

These are stunning! Love Alyssa dress and Dustin you look so dapper π Love how the photos captured your personalities too!
These photos are unusual for an engagement shoot. Normally, we see mountains and flowers at sunset for engagement photos. These photos are so refreshing, fun, and show a hidden side of Colorado that shouldn’t be overlooked. I love these pictures. Great location, outfits, and poses!
