Shea-Class of 2019 | Frederick Senior Pictures | Gross Reservoir Colorado

Class of 2019…you are so close to graduation!! How exciting 🙂 It was a true pleasure to work with many of you in the past year for your Colorado senior portraits. Shea was part of my senior rep team, so I had more than one opportunity of photographing this lovely young lady. For this next session, she wanted to incorporate the colorful fall foliage, and mountain views. We decided on Gross Reservoir outside of Boulder. Unfortunately, though most of the trees had lost their leaves because of a few early snow storms. We did, however, find one tree that had a bit of golden color left. And when paired with Shea’s cozy sweater, it still managed to give us some great fall vibes!

I had recently visited Gross Reservoir with Hannah, a Berthoud High senior client, but these two sessions were very different! I sure loved them both though! For Shea’s session we decided to venture down to the reservoir’s edge. It was a bit of a trek, but totally worth it. We were rewarded with the most gorgeous golden hour light, and a colorful Colorado sunset that beautifully reflected off the water. And we basically had the entire place to ourselves. I will definitely be back with future clients, because this is still (at least for now) a wonderful hidden gem.

So hard to pick a favorite of Shea’s Frederick senior pictures, this is definitely a contender though!! Mountains, golden hour, a Colorado “beach”, and a lovely subject in an adorable outfit…doesn’t get any better than that 🙂
