Next up in this blogging-palooza is the Vogenthaler’s Longmont spring family photos. I have known this bunch for years! Jaymee and Ryan’s wedding in 2011 was one of my first weddings. Although it had been several years since I got them in front of my camera (and my first time meeting their youngest son), we had a great session together. 2019 was also the first time I decided to offer spring mini sessions. I typically do mini sessions in the fall. But I decided these beautiful blooming trees during springtime deserved to be photographed more too! Spring is usually still a slower time around here. I get it…during spring you could have a gorgeous sunny day, or you could have a snowstorm! It’s still a bit predictable. All the vivid colors of spring though, make it so worth it.
These spring mini sessions were supposed to take place at Roosevelt Park. On the day of the sessions though, one of my clients made me aware that there was a festival going on at Roosevelt that day. I freaked out for a moment! Then decided we would make the Callahan House work as a backup plan. It was beautiful though, and fit the bill perfectly. We still got this lovely blossoming tree, and some other flowers starting to grow in the gardens. But this location also offered the historical house as a backdrop, as well as some benches, the wrought iron gate, and gazebo. It’s a great little location that I return to again and again over the years 🙂
Thank you Vogenthaler family! I loved capturing these Longmont spring family photos for you all. I hope to work together again very soon. You all are so sweet, gracious, and lovely, photogenic subjects, and it’s always fun working together. Wishing you the happiest of holiday seasons 🙂
